Meet Gisela: if you haven’t already had the pleasure, that is. The captain behind the wheel, she is the Founder and CEO of Presidio Insurance. She has quite the reputation not only in our office, but throughout the medical malpractice industry. For Gisela, however, the things she does outside of work are just as important to her as the things she accomplishes in the office. Read about Gisela’s passions, life outlook, and her organic garden below:
Q: What is your favorite single thing about working at your own business?
My favorite thing about what I do is the people I get to work with. From clients to colleagues to carriers I get to work with wonderful people. I’m really lucky.
Q: What occupies most of your time outside the office?
Most of time outside the office is spent outdoors…I’m also currently volunteering as a coach for a 9-year old boys soccer team. The kids make me laugh at every practice and I’m getting much more than I give. Their outlook and emotions are so unguarded…I look forward to coaching.
Q: What personal passions do you pursue?
I love hiking, jogging, working out and playing soccer. I also like growing organic food, painting, and doing creative things.
Q: What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in life?
The most important lesson? Hard to say because I’ve learned so many. I learned “this too shall pass” gets you through all the toughest times…a positive attitude and a little wine really does heal all wounds (physical and emotional). I learned there is no greater asset than my reputation and integrity…neither are for sale at any price. I learned to laugh when I can, cry when I can’t, stay positive, roll with the punches and make the best of every day.
