Could you benefit from a Nap?

Yes, you read that right! Could you as a medical professional benefit from a nap? In short, yes. A nap can have  a dramatic effect on increased Learning, Memory, Awareness, and more. With the long hours how will you fit it into your schedule?

If taking a siesta, or shutting down your practice in order to reboot sounds entirely impractical, you’re fortunate that a successful reboot won’t take too much of your time at all.

Research shows that napping between 20 minutes and 90 minutes is helpful although the shorter the time, the more groggy you may become. Once you’re in the hour to 90 minutes, you will introduce REM or rapid eye movement which helps the brain create new connections, leading to better problem solving creatively.

Help with problem solving sounds like that would be amazing for medical professionals as much of your job is finding different ways to help people. So do yourself a favor and take a nap!
