[Update] More RRG Liquidation

Joining Fairway and Oceanus, here’s an update of additional RRGs that have since faced liquidation.

Doctors & Surgeons National RRG (DSNRRG)

As of August 10th 2017, DSNRRG was placed in liquidation. The Vermont Department of Financial Regulation was the Liquidator, per the order of the Vermont Superior Court for Washington County.

February 12th 2018 was the filing deadline for Proof of Claim.

NOTE: Claims Filed After The Deadline Against DSNRRG May Be Barred.

Healthcare Providers Insurance Exchange (HPIX)

As of January 12 2018, the once 3,000 provider strong, HPIX, announced voluntary liquidation, supervised by the Pennsylvania Insurance Department.

By the end of 2015, most of HPIX’s business was sold to Medical Mutual Insurance Co. However, HPIX retained exposure to 89 claims.

Per the liquidation order, insurance regulators can take control of and distribute defunct insurer’s assets.
